Alfredo Porras Tellez Obituary (1944 - 2010)

Alfredo,'Freddy'- was born to Fidel and Eduvijes Tellez on 22 June 1944, he was the seventh child out of twelve children. As a young boy,Freddy grew up on a farm in Stanfield, AZ and went to school in the Stanfield School District. Initially he worked as a farm laborer, many times on the same farm with his father and older brothers. Freddy Tellez and Mercy Ochoa, married on January 10, 1964. Prior to his marriage to Mercy they had been teenage sweethearts. Thereafter his marriage to Mercy, Freddy left the farms of Stanfield and lived for several years in Casa Grande, AZ. There he worked at odd jobs and eventually landed a job with Asarco mining company where he worked for several years. The remainder of his working years he worked in construction and settled down in Tucson AZ. Freddy and Mercy raised four children, Alfred, Alice, Bernie & Albert. Then came 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Freddy was a hard working dedicated family man. He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.
