To view Amanda's Life Tribute, Click Here. Amanda Garcia Gamboa, 78, the matriarch and rock of our family went to be with the Lord on January 3, 2012. She has reunited in heaven with her parents, Guadalupe and Ricarda Garcia. She is survived by the loves of her life, Aristeo "Shorty" Gamboa; her seven daughters, Dianne (Robert) Sanchez; Sylvia (Nick) Gonzales; Dora (Manuel) Chavez; Sandra Gamboa; Corinda Gamboa; Caroline (Raymond) Vargas and Belinda (Guillermo) Felix. She leaves behind six very special grandchildren: Michelle (Cesar) Guerrero, Manuel Chavez, Danielle and Raymond Vargas, Benjamin and Gabrielle Felix; and four very special great-grandchildren Roberto, Cassandra, Andrea and Cesar Jr. Guerrero. A longtime resident of Mammoth, Arizona currently resided in Tucson, Arizona since 2004. She was a woman of great faith, and had strong devotion and love to God, the Blessed Mother, her husband of 56 years, her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Vistoso Funeral Home, 2285 E. Rancho Vistoso Blvd, Oro Valley, Arizona, with Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. A 'Celebration of Life' mass will be offered Monday, January 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 8650 N. Shannon Road, Tucson, Arizona. Interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Mam -We love you with all our hearts. We thank you for life, your unselfish love and sacrifices. Although our hearts ache, we find comfort in knowing you were greeted by our heavenly father and the many family members and special friends that have passed on before us.
