Annice B. Chadwick Obituary (1927 - 2021)

Annice Buckner Chadwick passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021, in Tucson, AZ. She was born on Worcester, MA to Orello and Virginia Siler Buckner on April 25, 1927. She was educated at Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, MA and, at her father's Alma Mater, the University of Illinois, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1948. While there, she met and married Raymond Ciszek and together, they moved to Bellingham, WA to teach at Western Washington University. From that marriage, the couple had four children, Charles, Joel, Curtis and Ginna Ciszek. In 1965, she married Stephen F. Chadwick and moved her family to Seattle, WA, where they were active members of Corinthian Yacht Club, Seattle Tennis Club, Sunset Club and Rainer Club. Stephen brought two children to the marriage, Ann and Paul Chadwick. Married for forty-nine years, before Stephen's death in 2014, their life together was rich in family and friends. They enjoyed sailing, tennis, traveling and entertaining at their homes on Bainbridge Island, Maui and Tucson. She is survived by three children, Charles, Joel and Ginna; stepson, Paul Chadwick; brother, Philip Buckner; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Annice was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jean; husband, Steve; stepdaughter, Ann; and son, Curtis.
