Armando Carrillo

Armando V. Carrillo lived a life filled with service, family, music, and a deep love for Arizona. Born in Tiger, Arizona, he was a proud United States Air Force veteran who served during the Vietnam War, a dedicated land surveyor, a lover of gems and minerals, a saxophone player, and a devoted Arizona Wildcats fan.
Armando cherished his roots in Tiger and helped organize a reunion of former residents and descendants of the historic ghost town, bringing people together to celebrate their shared history and preserve the memories of a special place.
He found beauty in the natural world, enjoyed music, and proudly cheered on his beloved Wildcats. His many interests and his dedication to preserving Arizona history were an important part of who he was.
Armando is now reunited with his beloved Alicia and his parents, Armando and Josephine Carrillo, who preceded him in death.
He leaves behind his loving children, Amanda (Daniel) Renteria and Adam (Patricia) Carrillo; his grandchildren, Daniel Renteria, Kalie Renteria, Adam X Carrillo, Alec Carrillo, and Zachary Carrillo; and his two great-grandchildren, Maisy and Joseph. He is also survived by his sisters, Theresa (Danny) Maldonado, Gloria (Rudy) Vindiola, and Grace (Bruno) Gonzales, along with extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.
Armando will be remembered for his service to his country, his love of family, his Arizona heritage, and the many passions that made his life unique. His legacy lives on through the family he loved, the history he helped preserve, and the memories shared by all who knew him.
He may have left this world, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Rest in peace, Armando. Forever loved, forever remembered.
