August "Gus" Epina Obituary (1942

August (Gus) Epina, age 80, passed away May 7th, 2023 in Tuscon, AZ. He is survived by his wife Carol, Daughters, Leanne Epina of New York, Kristin Vitek of San Diego, CA and 6 grandchildren, Michael, Jack, and Charliegh Vitek, Olivia, Apollo and Sparrow Weis and a large east coast extended family. Gus grew up in Yonkers, New York, graduating with a BA from Manhattan College in Mechanical Engineering. He spent over 50 years in the computer peripheral industry at IBM, Storage Tek, and Oracle Corporation in Boulder Colorado. His innovative approach to this industry earned him 7 US patents. We are grateful for the love, kindness, and attention he bestowed on the lives of all he met. He was a true Gentle Man and will be dearly missed.
