Butch Edwards Obituary (1947 - 2020)

Francis (Butch) Edwards (6/25/47- 8/6/20) Francis (Butch) Edwards went to be with his Heavenly Father at the age of 73 years old. Butch passed away from COVID-19 at Northwest Hospital in Tuscon, AZ on August 6, 2020. Butch was born on June 25, 1947 in Prower County Colorado on his grandfather's homestead. He proudly served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired from ASARCO as a copper mine supervisor in 2009. His favorite hobbies were camping, fishing, golfing, traveling, and woodworking. He was a loving, kind man, with a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Butch was predeceased by his loving wife of 40 years, Eva Edwards, his beloved son Troy Miley, and parents Ruby and Forest Edwards. Butch is survived by his adoring wife Sandra Muncrief-Edwards, his children Sandra (Tim) Eden and David Michael (Cindy) Edwards, his daughter in-law Brea Miley, and by his sisters Judy Edwards Grant and Clara Edwards. He is lovingly remembered by his step-children Donya (Mike) George, Shelley (Shane) Davis, Chris (Peter) Adamakis, and Sheri Caplan. Butch will also be greatly missed by 20 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Butch's life will be held at Oro Valley Church of the Nazarene On Friday, August 28th at 10:00 AM. Reception immediately following at the church.
