Celeste May Aten Obituary (1948 - 2021)

To View Celeste's Memorial Tribute Video CLICK HERE Aten, Celeste May, age 72, formerly of Peoria, Arizona, has passed away on the 14th of May 2021 at 5:28pm with her family at her side. She was born in Rosebush, Michigan on August 13, 1948. Preceded in death by her parents, Frances and Walter Zygmunt, and her brother in law James Aten. Celeste has many hobbies hobbies besides loving her family, included creating arts and attending craft shows. She loved to play pinochle and especially enjoyed going to bingo. Today we are celebrating her life's accomplishments. She retired as a sales representative. She was the president of the Ladies' Auxiliary post 1197 Batavia, Illinois as well as the past VFW 19th District Ladies Auxiliary President in Illinois. For over 50 years our Mother and Father have been married. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Aten, sister, Patricia Nicpon and sister in-laws Kathleen Bar (Jim Bar) and Bonnie Aten (Jim Aten). Her children, son Brian and his wife, Araceli Aten, daughter Amy Aten (Shawn Flynn) and son Eric and his wife, Amanda Aten. She is a proud grandmother of David, Cesar, Ashliegh, Allen, Trinity, Eli, Ethan, Sara, Bryan and Haylee, and her great granddaughter, Micaela. Micaela will be a soon to be big sister to a brother or sister, only Mom knows right now. With many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Services are as follows, Monday May 24th, 2021 at Camino Del Sol funeral home 13738 W. Camino Del Sol for her wake. 3p.m. - 6p.m. Tuesday May 25th, 2021 church services will be held at Prince of Peace Parish 14818 W. Deer Valley Dr. Sun City West AZ. She will have a final viewing at the church from 9:15a.m. until 9:45a.m. and church services will commence at 10a.m. Celeste will be put to rest on Thursday May 27th, 2021 at Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. 1300 S Buffalo Soldier Trail, Sierra Vista, AZ 85635.
