David L. Kyle

2/26/1938 - 9/23/2018

Dave was born in Glendale, California to Ellen "Tronsier" Kyle and Leo D. Kyle. He graduated from Hoover High School where he played offensive tackle.

After graduating he attended ASU receiving a Bachelor of Science in Business degree. He maintained many Hoover friendships, attending reunions throughout the years. At ASU he was a member of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity where he also retained lifelong friendships.

Dave's first career was in sales, where he was honored as "Salesman of the Year" for US Gypson Company and Griffith Laboratories. He was an Entrepreneur, owning and managing many restaurants in Santa Barbara, Dallas, Ruidoso, and Tucson AZ.

He was honest to a fault, believing a hand shake was a binding contract.

Dave loved to hunt and fish and raise black labs. His favorite was "Bucho" who was so special he was almost human. He loved to read Tom Chancy novels, watch movies, and attend live music concerts. He enjoyed tending bar and partying with the men's group at the Tucson Museum of Art.

He also designed and built three beautiful custom homes, one in Santa Barbara, and another in Dallas, and the last in Oro Valley.

Dave and his wife, Sally, met at ASU and loved to travel. They traveled the world together from Europe, China, Russia, Greece, Turkey, Mexico, Hawaii, the Caribbean, and to many other places too numerous to mention. There were many fun adventures, much laughter, and lots of love.

He taught his son and daughter to hunt and fish and supported their soccer teams and daughter's cheerleading. The three of them even participated in a triathlon together.

Dave leaves behind his wife, Sally, his son Matthew of Seattle, daughter Megan Burch (Dwight), and Granddaughters Hope and Hannah of Oklahoma City. He also leaves a half-sister Cindy Ayers (Del) of Phoenix.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his beautiful infant daughter, Tiffany.

The family wishes to express a very special thank you to Dr. Michael Duperret who guided us through this difficult journey. Also, a warm thank you to Casa de la Luz for their compassion and support these final days.

Donations to Casa de la Luz in Dave's memory would be welcomed @ 7740 North Oracle Road, Tucson, AZ 85704 or to the Alzheimer's Association to help find a cure for this debilitating disease.

Private services have been held.
