David Little

–

Tucson, Arizona

David James Little passed away May 17th, 2024 in Tucson, AZ.

He was born the oldest of six in March 1950. A telegram from his father Jack announced his arrival into the world. “David James arrived six thirty Saturday eight pounds Jane and baby are fine”. After him came Martha, Mark, Jeff, Pat and Steve. He was close to and fiercely proud of his family.

He graduated from Kent State University with a BA in economics. He also received his MBA in marketing from Babson College.

He married Dianne Lemoine in 1982 and relocated to Ireland where they lived until moving to Ottumwa, Iowa in 1992.

David worked in sales his whole career. His clients and territories took him across continents and cultures. His last role was one of his favorites. He was a sales manager for Ottumwa-based Aljon working the western US territory out of Tucson, Arizona. While travel was always a constant in his professional life, he was at his happiest at home with his family. In between trips, he could be found riding his road bike in Catalina State Park, visiting his son Bryan’s shop to talk cars and life, or enjoying Tucson’s mountain vistas from the pool deck.

David is survived by his wife Dianne of Tucson, AZ , daughter Shauna Little of Maplewood, NJ, son Bryan Little of Vail, AZ and grand children Aylin and Defne of Maplewood, NJ. His parents preceded him in death, and he is survived by all of his siblings.

David Little was a husband, a son, a father, a brother and a friend to all who knew him. He lived his life fully. He never met a person he couldn’t strike up a conversation with - no matter if you spoke the same language or not - and he delighted in making others laugh.

A Celebration of Life is planned for July in Tucson, AZ. Please reach out to Shauna or Bryan for more information. Donations can be made to Friends of Catalina State Park.
