Dorothy "Dee" A Coleman Obituary (1939 - 2017)

It is with great sadness that the family of Dee Coleman of Oro Valley, AZ and Arlington Heights, IL announce her sudden passing on December 13, 2017 at the age of 78. While she will be greatly missed, we take comfort in knowing that she trusted in Jesus and was welcomed into heaven. Dee was born March 27, 1939 in Philadelphia, PA. At an early age she moved with her family to Chicago where she attended Steinmetz HS and met the love of her life, Dick, her husband of 57 years. Dee graduated from Northern Illinois University where she was a member of Pi Kappa Sigma Sorority. After college, Dee and Dick Coleman married and settled in Mt. Prospect, IL where they made their home for over 40 years. In addition to teaching grade school, Dee was involved with Junior Women's Club, her Church, Community Bible Study, and her children and grandchildren's many activities. Dee was a gifted artist who loved to paint. Her home was decorated with beautiful paintings that showed her artist's touch. Dee loved to dance and continued to take classes until recently. In 1990, she began spending winters in Tucson, Arizona where she continued her active life. Being involved in a church has always been an important part of Dee's life and she found great joy in the Grace Community Church family. Dee will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her husband, Richard "Dick" Coleman, children, Deanna Wille (Steve), Patti Coleman and Scott Coleman, grandchildren, Jeff Wille (Rachel), Christopher Wille, Caeli Wille, Anelise Pardo and brother, Bud McKeon (Nanci). She was preceded in death by her brother, Chuck McKeon.
