E. Frank Massaro

–

Oro Valley, Arizona

Frank Massaro, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 11, 2026 at the age of 98. Born in Santa Stefano Quisquina, Agrigento, Sicily, Italy, Frank was the son of the late Ignazio Massaro and Maria Palermo and is predeceased by his siblings: Domenico, Gina, Maria and Pietro.

Frank's life was a testament to hard work and dedication. He immigrated to the United States, where he built a beautiful life and family. He was the devoted husband to Rita Massaro and together, they shared 58 years of marriage, raising two wonderful daughters, Gabriella Massaro and Leonora Kubinski. Frank found immense joy in his role as grandparent to Anthony and Zachary Kubinski, with whom he shared countless cherished memories.

For 40 years, Frank was a respected restaurateur, a profession that allowed him to share his passion for cooking and hospitality with the community. After retiring in 1998, he dedicated his time to his other great loves: tending to his vegetable garden, creating projects around the house and spending time with his family, especially his grandsons. His sense of humor was infectious and his cooking skills were appreciated by so many.

Frank was also a man of faith, an active parishioner of St. Edward's Church in New Fairfield, Connecticut before retiring to Arizona where he continued his spiritual journey at Santa Catalina Catholic Church. His faith provided him with strength and comfort throughout his life.

Frank is survived by his loving wife, Rita Massaro, his daughters Gabriella Massaro and Leonora Kubinski, son-in-law Jeff Kubinski, his grandsons Anthony and Zachary, his siblings Lia, Teresa, Fernando, Anna, Pino, Celeste and Attilio and many nieces and nephews.

A service to honor and celebrate Frank's life will be held on October 24, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Santa Catalina Catholic Church, located at 14380 North Oracle Road, Tucson, Arizona 85739. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that a memorial donation be made to Santa Catalina Catholic Church, Tucson, (SantaCatalinaParish.org), reflecting Frank's generous spirit.

The Massaro family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff at Aspen Care Home and Casa De La Luz for their compassionate care and support during Frank's final days.

Frank Massaro will be remembered for his warm smile, endearing accent, sense of humor and generous heart. May he rest in eternal peace.
