To view Elliot's Life Tribute, Click Here. Elliot G.Goldin, MD, of SaddleBrooke, Arizona, was born June 19, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois and died Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at age 77. Following military service in the Army, Dr. Goldin obtained his undergraduate degree from Roosevelt University and his MD degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He then completed his General Surgery residency training at the University of Illinois at Chicago. While practicing, Dr. Goldin served as a clinical associate professor of surgery for medical students and residents at both the University of Illinois at Chicago and then at the University of Arizona after he retired. Dr. Goldin was a member of the American College of Surgeons and the Warren Cole Society amongst other professional societies. Dr. Goldin's hobbies included his grandchildren, softball, golf, painting, fishing, outdoor activities, sports, music, art, and theater. Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years, Sylvia, whom he married July 3, 1960; four sons; Steven Goldin (Pamela) of Tampa, Florida, Matthew Goldin (Monica) of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Adam Goldin (Maureen) of Libertyville, Illinois, and Joshua Goldin (Rachel) of Evanston, Illinois and eight grandchildren, Emily, Jessica, Nathan, Andrew, Ryan, Meredith, Henry, and Lucia.
