Gary D. Hoover, formerly from Zelienople, PA passed away in Oro Valley, Arizona on march 31, 2021 with his wife Mary, son Matthew and nephew Philip by his side. Gary was born on March 12, 1947 to Frederick G. and Virginia Hoover Davidson. They preceded him in death as did his Brother. Ronald Hoover, Step-Father Roy Davidson, and Sister-in-law Debi Carlson.

Gary is survived by his wife, Mary Hoover, son Matthew Carle, Daughter-in-law, Valerie and his grandchildren, Matthew Jay, Devin and Jenna. Sister-in-laws, Patricia Eubanks; Lolita Russell and husband Alan; Yolanda Martinez-Barber and husband Mike; Nieces and Nephews, Mike Kennyson, Jennifer, Lisa, Christi, and Mark. Gary's Sister, Donna Hoover Magill and Brother -in-Law, Dale Magill, Nephew, Phillip Hoover and his wife Patty, Sisters Valinda Davidson Morton, Helen Davidson West, Shirley Davidson Ray, Brother Richard Davidson.

Gary grew up in Zelienople, PA where he attended High School and served in the US Navy from 1964-1969. He was a combat Veteran of the Vietnam War. Gary was an avid outdoorsman, and he enjoyed many years of hunting, fishing, camping, off-roading and golfing. A major portion of Gary's career was spent working in the aircraft parts industry for different companies in various management positions. He often traveled to Arizona and knew this is where he wanted to retire. In 2012, his dream came true. He and Mary moved to Oracle, Arizona where they enjoyed their new home, and great times together and formed new wonderful friendships.

This year, Gary and his beloved wife, Mary celebrated 47 years of a treasured life together, sharing true love, and a genuine respect for each other. Gary was a great husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, story teller and listener and will be greatly missed by everyone. In Lieu of flowers the family has suggested donations can be made in Gary's name to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PFF) or Joyce Meyer project girl.
