Guillermo "Bill" Jesus Felix Obituary (1973

Guillermo "Bill" Jesus Felix, 45, the strong protector of his wife and kids, went with the Lord on February 20, 2019. He is preceded in death by his Father, Jesus S. Felix, his brother Jason Felix, his in-laws, Aristeo "Shorty" and Amanda Gamboa, as well as his brother-in-law, Bobby Sanchez, his maternal grandparents, Guillermo & Virginia Castro and Paternal grandparents, Jesus and Ramona Felix. He is survived by the love of his life & Sweetheart, Belinda Gamboa-Felix and his children, Benjamin Guillermo and Gabrielle Amanda Felix; his mother Susan Lee; sisters; Bella (Jodi) Cuneo, Cathi (Phil) Felix-Eislage, and Ramona (Bruce) Jones; Dianne Sanchez, Dora (Manny) Chavez, Sandra Gamboa, Corinda Gamboa, and Caroline (Ray) Vargas. He also leaves behind numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, godchildren, cousins, friends, and many University of Arizona co-workers. Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, Bill was an avid University of Arizona sports fan and loyal employee. He was a graduate of Canyon del Oro High School and Pima Community College then later began his career at the University of Arizona. He loved his job and put so much passion into leading his beloved Mechanical Shop where he was loved and respected by many throughout the Facilities Management Department.Bill was extremely active in the Southern Arizona basketball community; spending many years and long hours coaching his son, daughter, and assisting countless kids throughout the Tucson community. He was a great mentor and coached with a boundless heart and humor. He opened up his home and commuted many kids to and from practice and to out-of-town tournaments, always with a mission to keep teams together. He would strategize and coach on skill and IQ with a tremendous memory and love for the game. But his true love of life was his extreme loyalty and love as a faithful husband and dedicated father. He placed his wife and children before himself, always. He was a wonderful, devoted husband and remains the love of Belinda's life. His children, Benny and Gabi are blessed to have had the most amazing, loving dad. He was beyond proud of them, so much that even if you never met his wife and children, you already knew who they were, just by what he shared with you about them. They were his pride and joy to say the least. Anyone who first met Bill loved him right from the start and he easily made a friend wherever he went. He was always there to lend a hand, not only to those he knew, but to even those he didn't. Bill, you left a beautiful legacy of a strong loving man, towering in stature, but gentle and generous at heart. You are loved by all and will be deeply missed by so many people you touched.
