Cadden,83 of SaddleBrooke, Az, passed away into God's Grace on August 7th after a difficult but valiant battle with cancer.\n\nJerry was born on July 21st, 1938, to Harry and Reva Cadden in Carroll, Iowa. He later moved to Kirksville, Mo with his family and graduated from Kirksville High School in 1956. He obtained a BS Degree in Metallurgical Engineering at the Rolla School of Mines in 1960. During his college years Jerry worked as a disc jockey at a local radio station which provided many entertaining stories for dinner parties in the years to come. In 1960 he married Phyllis Lee Conley, his high school sweetheart. They moved to Gadsden, Al. for Jerry's first job at Republic Steel. In 1962 they returned to Rolla, Mo where he earned his Master's degree from Rolla School of Mines. After graduation they moved to Oak Ridge , Tn where Jerry worked in research and development for Union Carbide. In 1975 they moved to Westport, Ct. where Jerry commuted on the train to the UC cooperate office in New York City. After moving to San Diego for a few years in 1978 for Union Carbide the Caddens moved to Colorado Springs, Co to work at Electronic Metals Finishing, Inc. In 1990 Jerry and Phyllis moved to Murrieta, Ca to finish out his career with his own consulting and sales company and then retired at age 65 in 2003. After retiring, Jerry and Phyllis moved to SaddleBrooke, Az. He played golf and tennis and walked for exercise. He enjoyed cooking, following the stock market, shopping at Dollar Tree and mostly delighting in socializing with friends and neighbors. Jerry leaves behind 2 children and 3 grandchildren. Daughter Melinda (T. Scott) Winship who live in Cocoa Beach, Fl . They have 3 children Riley (Robert) Will, Katharine Winship and Thomas Winship. Son Jeffrey Wade Cadden resides in Colorado Springs, Co. Jerry is predeceased by his parents Harry and Reva, and his sister Sandra (Cadden) Tolliver.
