Jerry Dubbs, beloved husband, devoted father and grandfather, earnest storyteller and accomplished salesman, passed unexpectantly on Friday, September 12, 2014. Jerry was born in Dundalk, Maryland, on January 20, 1944, to Theodore and Dorothy Dubbs. He graduated from Dundalk Senior High School in 1961. Upon graduation, Jerry started his professional career working for the Department of Defense. From there, he moved on to work at UARCO, AMPEX, and in his later years, sold life insurance. A salesman by profession, Jerry never met a stranger. He had an uncanny ability to walk up to a stranger and part as friends. He led a successful career and will be remembered by many of his business contacts who later became close, personal friends. Throughout his life, Jerry had numerous experiences which later became wonderful stories that he shared with friends and family. Jerry loved his family, friends, Native American Culture, Western and Military History, Theodore Roosevelt, and John Wayne. He was an avid fan of both baseball and football. Go Colts! He was a survivor of cancer and heart disease. A dish of dark chocolate M & M's was always close at hand, and on occasion, a glass of fine single malt. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. A celebration of Jerry's life will be held Sunday, November 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., at Vistoso Funeral Home Memorial donations can be made to: The American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association.
