John Patrick Guimond passed away peacefully on April 16, 2021. John grew up in Marinette, WI. His parents were Herbert and Elizabeth Guimond. After his graduation from Our Lady of Lourdes High School in 1945, he entered the armed forces, and on completion of military service enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he graduated in 1951 with Phi Beta Kappa honors and a degree in Business Administration. John enjoyed a lifetime career with Ray-O-vac Company in Madison as CFO and Teasurer for the parent company ESB Incorporated in Philadelphia, PA. The Madison chapter of the National Association of Accountants honored John with the President's Award for outstanding achievement in his profession and services to the community.\n\nJohn was a devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was active in the lives of all his family, coaching and mentoring, Favorite activities were boating, tennis, travelling, reading, and playing chess. He was a diehard Badger and Green Bay Packer fan. \n\nJohn is survived by his loving wife Marilyn, his devoted children, John Guimond, Jr. (Vickie) of DeForest, WI, Jim Guimond (Joyce) of Cambridge, WI, Sherry Pender Auker of San Ramon, CA, Leanne Tribett (Joe) of Apopka, FL, and Lisa Savage (Charlie) of Sturgeon Bay, WI, and Marilyn's children, Gary Lippitt (Sheri) of Waunakee, Wi and Lynn Stel (Rick) of Markesan, WI. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild. John's 1st wife Avyce, and the mother of his five children passed away in 1981. Karl Auker and one grandchild preceded him in death. John's generous and loving spirit will be missed by all.\n\nA memorial service at Riverside Cemetery, 1401 Memorial Dr., Menominee, MI. will be held on a date to be determined.
