Johnny J. Salazar Obituary (1960 - 2009)

Johnny passed on November 7, 2009 in Oro Valley, Arizona after a sudden illness. He was born May 11, 1960 to Tony and Mary Salazar in Fort Stockton, Texas. Johnny grew up in Jal, New Mexico and attended public school there. He received certification from Foley, Briggs and Straton and Toro-Jacobson. He was a small engine mechanic for 10 years. Johnny was in Golden Gloves boxing for several years. On April 20, 1979 he married Charlie (Charlotte) Clark in Lovington, New Mexico. He enjoyed working with animals, but most of all he enjoyed playing with his grandkids. Johnny will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him. He was a great husband, father, papa, son, brother and uncle. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Friday, November 13, 2009 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Jal, New Mexico. Mass will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 14, 2009 followed by burial at Jal Cemetery.
