Joseph Johnson

JOSEPH TROY JOHNSON

Born Feb 21, 1967 in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Troy and Louise Johnson.
Joe graduated from Las Cruces High School in 1985. He joined the United States
Army in 1987. He served honorably in the United States and in Germany and in Desert Storm.
Joe joined the New Mexico National Guard before moving to Arizona National Guard.

Joe is survived by his wife, Heidi, his son Justin Johnson and wife Chloe of Ft. Collins, Colorado and his
Daughter Jenna Sharock and her husband Nathaniel of Tucson. Joe is also survived by sisters Faye Pritchettt of Mesilla Park, NM, Barbara Impellitier of Las Cruces, NM, Doretha Owens of Mesquite, NM and brother Dan Johnson of Edmond, Oklahoma.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Elayne Morey and a brother Paul Johnson.

After his retirement in 2018, Joe continued as a contractor teaching helicopter pilots. One of his hobbies was leather working and he had made pistol holsters for family members and many others.

Joe and Heidi attended church at Foothills Community Church in Tucson.

Service for Joe Johnson will be held at Vistoso Funeral Home 2285 E, Rancho Vistoso Blvd
Oro Valley, Arizona 85755 December 20, 2025.
