Joseph "Jack" Matthies Obituary (1938 - 2022)

Joseph "Jack" Matthies was born on November 25, 1938 in Chicago Heights, IL and passed away peacefully on August 31, 2022 in Oro Valley, AZ. Jack was a tool and die maker by trade and spent most of his life in Michigan. He lived the last 16 years in Oro Valley; bowling, golfing, and playing cards and billiards with his Sun City friends. Jack was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years Barbara. He is survived by his devoted children, Tammy (Steven) Brown and Kevin (Felicia) Matthies and his grandson Kyle. He will be fondly remembered by his step-grandchildren Jeremy (Nichole) Brown and Jessica (Mark) McKee and his Arizona family and friends April (Danny) Crosby, "grandkids" Erica and Thomas, Ruth Hochstein and Terry Hendrichs.
