Judith Anne (Rabe) Thomson, 80, of Oro Valley passed away December 1,2019. Judy was born November 19, 1939 in Medina, Ohio to Herman and Maxine (Dye) Rabe. \n\nJudy graduated from Medina High School in 1957 and received her Bachelor's degree in teaching from Kent State University and taught grade school and junior high in the Cleveland, Ohio area. She met Dennis in 1993 and shortly after retirement they moved to Arizona. Judy loved horses and traveling and was a member of the Vista de la Montana United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sandy. \n\nJudy is survived by her husband, Dennis Kimmel; son, Greg (Joann) Thomson; grandchildren, Victoria and Nick Thomson; niece, Kimberly (Stephanie) Liotta-Atkinson; great-nieces, Quinn and Annika Liotta-Atkinson; step-children, Scott (Leah) Kimmel, Joe (Sunshine) Kimmel and Becky Currence; step-mother, Doris and several step brothers and sisters; and several step grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; and many cousins. Judy will also be greatly missed by long-time friends, Nick, Jeff and Carolyn, church members, neighbors and high school friends. \n\nFriends may visit from 3:00 - 6:00 pm on Friday, December 6, 2019 at Vistoso Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Vista de la Montana United Methodist Church, 3001 Miravista Lane, followed by an interment at Evergreen Cemetery at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Judy's name may be made to the Vista de la Montana United Methodist Church Building Fund.
