Larry W. Moore

Larry Weymouth Moore passed away at home November 4th, 2010 with his family and friends at his side after a short but courageous bout with cancer. Larry was born October 18, 1946 in Lexington, VA to Lawrence and Doris Moore. He is survived by his loving wife, Janette Simister, daughter, Samantha Moore, almost son-in-law Stephen Espinoza, grandchildren Austin and Sophia, and former spouse, Cheryl Moore. Along with his siblings, Patsy, Nancy, Harry and Randy, and numerous nieces and nephews. Larry was predeceased by his parents and brother, Danny. Larry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 20 years. He served in Vietnam, worked for the Strategic Air Command and on the B-2 bomber training program at Edwards AFB. After retiring from the Air Force he worked for Jensen's Custom Ammunition and then at Starizona where he shared with many the wonders of the night sky. Thanks to all of his many good friends he visited with over the last few months and days. Thanks, also, to the staffs of Arizona Oncology, St. Joseph's Hospital and Carondelet Hospice. Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather and wonderful friend to many people. We will miss his humor, kindness, love and devotion. Larry will be forever in our hearts. His life cherished in our memories.
