Lela M. Cunningham Obituary (1926 - 2012)

Lela M. (Schlobohm) Cunningham passed away on December 9, 2012. She was born on November 28, 1926, in Portage, Indiana, where she graduated valedictorian. Lela married Gerald S. Malings (deceased 1975) and lovingly raised three children, Beverly, Jerry, and Sandi. She worked as a secretary for Bethlehem Steel's fire department until her retirement. She married Barry P. Cunningham and moved to a home on the Platte Lake in Honor, Michigan, where she grew beautiful flowers and collected Petoskey rocks from Lake Michigan's beach. Barry and Lela then moved to Oro Valley, Arizona. Lela was a gifted artist and loved to read. Her extraordinary Christmases she had for her children and grandchildren will always be cherished. There is no amount of words to say how much she'll be missed by those she touched throughout her lifetime.
