Lennis Jean Boggis \n\nLennis Jean Boggis, of Tucson, Arizona, beloved wife, mother, daughter and grandmother, passed away peacefully amongst family and friends at the Oro Valley Hospital on Monday, December 3, 2018. She was 81 years old. Lennis was born in DuQuoin, Illinois in 1937 and was the daughter of the late Howard and Letha Piper of Elkville, Illinois. \n\nLennis worked as an office manager for Consolidation Coal Corporation before settling into a long retirement at Saddlebrooke with her late husband Richard. She loved music, was an avid pianist serving the Saddlebrooke Singers. She was a member of Living Word Chapel in Oracle and she delighted in time spent with her family and friends.\n\nLennis is survived by four children and their spouses; Mark Pawley and Marci Gutierrez of Oro Valley, Arizona; Cliff and Sherrie Pawley of San Juan Capistrano, California respectively; Sherida and Chuck Evans of Vergennes, Illinois, and Andrea and David Costen of Virginia Beach, Virginia; five grandchildren, Courtney Evans, Jaymee McKinnies, Amanda Boyle, Elena Barnes, and Bethany Pawley, along with six great grandchildren; Brayden, Aubrey, Forrest, Hattie, Baker, and Lillian. She also is survived by her brother and his wife Jerry and Pat Piper of Elkville, and six nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by grandson Lucas Evans.\n\nA funeral service will be held Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the VISTOSO FUNERAL HOME, 2285 E. Rancho Vistoso Blvd., Oro Valley and a celebration of her life will be held after the service. Interment and a memorial service will follow in the spring of 2019 in Desoto, Illinois.
