Lorraine "Lorrie" Evalyn Rockwell passed away gently and peacefully in her home on December 28,2022, surrounded and escorted by her loving family, after a short illness.Lorrie was welcomed into this world by her parents, Mathias Weber and Lucy Jennings, on March 27,1936 in Joliet, IL, and was raised in Rockford, IL. She had a love of music, played piano and sang innumerous choirs. She graduated from the University of Iowa with an education degree and went on tobecome a teacher in various professional and voluntary capacities throughout her life.While at the university she met her future husband and best friend, Glen Rockwell, and they weremarried on June 28, 1959. They welcomed their daughter, Teresa, two years later. They lived briefly inAustin, TX, before settling in Denver, CO, then retiring to Oro Valley, AZ. Family was her priority,instilling the values of love, integrity, authenticity, and joy in her daughter and grandchildren.She was predeceased by both her parents and her beloved younger sister, Gloria Weber Henbest (Tom).She is survived by her husband, Glen; daughter Terry Ariniello (Len); grandchildren, Lauren Ariniello,Paul Ariniello (Codie), and Allison Ariniello; brother, Wayne Weber (Anne); as well as a wide and deepcircle of family members and friends. She just missed meeting her first great grandchild, although wasable to join the celebration of her impending arrival. As her brother once said, we will always miss thefamily members who are unable to join the celebration as they have either passed before us, or, theyhave not yet arrived.The family wishes to thank everyone for their support and well wishes, which have sustained andcomforted us through this journey. We also wish to express a special thanks to the Casa de la LuzHospice staff for granting Lorrie's final desire to pass peacefully and comfortably in her own home,surrounded by her family.
