Marcy Rae Anson Fralick, age 70, passed away in Oro Valley, Arizona on March 18, 2022 after a thirteen-month battle with pancreatic cancer. Marcy was born: December 10, 1951 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Francis Ellen Mellinger and Robert Lee Mawbey. April of 1952, Lyman Anson and Elinor Rae Jenney brought Marcy home as their loving daughter, all preceded her in death. Marcy's mother Elinor passed away when Marcy was 15, and her father, Lyman Anson married Marion Vincent Reinhardt Anson. Marcy's family moved around from Illinois to Connecticut where she graduated from High school from Staples High in 1970 and finally Marcy's parents finally settled in Denver, Colorado. After Marcy graduated from Bryant College (now Bryant University) in Rhode Island in 1972, she joined them. While Marcy was a stay home mom and wife, she went back to school and received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biological Anthropology with a minor in Ethnic Minority and Native American Studies from University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS). Marcy loved sewing, especially baby clothes which she sewed for her children, grandchildren, and great granddaughter. She was a bird enthusiast, even monitoring the birds in her area and reporting her findings to several scientific societies. Marcy was a passionate writer, giving her antidotes in the Ute Pass Currier for a couple years, her humor was enjoyed by many. She was an avid reader and enjoyed a local book club in Oro Valley where she made dear friends. She was especially fond of her pets, which gave her much comfort. She was proud to be involved with the Oro Valley Police Department's CVAP program where she made lasting friends. Her most treasured vacations were the times she was able to go to Hawaii with her family. She was an avid Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies fan, traveling to Tucson, AZ each March for their Spring Training, eventually residing in Tucson after the death of her husband of 26 years, Robert (Bob) Fralick. Marcy is survived by her children; Kellie Hobbs (Nathan) children Katelyn, Makenna, Nicolette, and Alexander of Mississippi; Shauna (Mark) and daughters Kyleigh and Meghan of Florida; Christopher Fralick of Florida, and Andrew Fralick of Arizona; cousins Dede Weissbach (Rick) of Wisconsin, Mac McKown (Laura) of Georgia, and Ted Gregg (Shari) of Virginia.
