Was born Marjorie Stewart on November 6, 1932 to Ada and Herbert Stewart in Timmons, Ontario, Canada. Ada and Herbert were Salvationists. Marjorie entered the School for Officer's Training in Canada and was ordained as a 2nd Lieutenant in 1952 as a Herald of Jesus. In 1955, Marjorie married 2nd Lieutenant William Louis Hodge and thus began a life together spanning 62 years. During their Officership Bill and Marge served in Penticton, Cranbrook, and Kamloops, British Columbia. Bill and Marge left the work for a few years. They migrated to Buffalo, NY where Bill took a position as a Youth Director For The Salvation Army. In 1969, The moved to Mesa, Arizona where Bill and Marge were instrumental in establishing the Mesa Corps. It was in Arizona that Bill and Marge we reinstated as Officers to the Southwest Division. They served at the Tempe Corps, the Globe Corps, the South Mountain Corps and in retirement the Lake Havasu Corps. They also served in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Lord saw fit to call Major Marjorie Francis Hodge home suddenly on January 21, 2018. Marjorie is survived by her husband William Hodge, 4 Sons - David, Peter, Andrew and Mark and one daughter Cheryl. Marjorie also has 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grand children.
