Mary Richardson

Mary Ann Richardson March 28, 1926 ~ September 27, 2010 Mary was the youngest of six children born to William and Anna Blake in Newark, New Jersey, where she spent her childhood and school years. As a Navy and Air Force military wife and homemaker, she moved often, meeting the challenge of creating new homes for her husband and three sons in California, Nevada, Michigan, Paris,France, Arizona and Montana before settling in Tucson, Arizona where her husband, Chief Master Sergeant James H. Richardson, retired in the early 1970's. She was manager of the Base Exchange, Malmstrom Air Force Base, Great Falls, Montana, and later enjoyed work as a bank teller and gift shop clerk. Mary's later years were spent enjoying time with her friends at bingo, poker nights at her home and time at the local Elks club. She was also an Election Day volunteer. Mary enjoyed her five grandchildren and their accomplishments and never missed a graduation, baptism or wedding. Mary is survived by her sons Jerry (Diane) Richardson, of Happy Valley, Oregon, Carl (Darcy) Richardson, of Oro Valley, Arizona and Jim (Lynda) Richardson, of Strongsville, Ohio; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and her sisters, Florence Callahan, of Youngstown, Ohio and Irene Blake, of Lake Forest, California. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Richardson; parents, William and Anna Blake; brother William Blake, Jr.; sisters Harriet Lawson and Johanna Brennan.
