Maureen Anderson

Maureen Loville (Gloege) Anderson, fondly known as “Mo” died peacefully in Tucson, AZ on 11/11/2023 at the age of 87.

Maureen is survived by her daughter Leslie Gucciardo, her husband Anthony Gucciardo of Tucson, AZ; her grandchildren Tyler Griffin of Phoenix, AZ and Tristan Griffin of Vista, CA; her brother James Gloege of Glenwood, MN. She is preceded in death by her husband David C. Anderson of Tucson, AZ and her son Brent Anderson of Tucson, AZ.

Maureen was born on 11/25/1935 in Ortonville, MN to Harvey Gloege and Loville Cronen. She graduated from Hamlin University in St. Paul, MN with a degree in Education. She married David Anderson in 1956. Maureen began teaching at the elementary school level and soon after, they welcomed 2 children into their home.

Her children remember her as a kind and loving mother who encouraged them to be happy and supported their passions.

Maureen was an athlete her entire life. She performed as a majorette in school and later became an avid tennis player and golfer. She was a witty and fiercely protective of her family. She was an active and devout member of the Methodist Church.
