Maureen Joanne Corr was born April 4, 1990 to Kevin and Betty Corr in Falls Church, Virginia. When Maureen was six weeks old, the family moved to Illinois where Maureen lived for the next 10 years. During this time, Maureen had a happy childhood playing with her sister and friends. She joined the Girl Scouts, made her First Communion and learned to ride a horse. She was a voracious reader and an animal lover, especially cats. The family then moved to West Virginia before moving to Arizona in 2003. She graduated from Ironwood Ridge High School in Oro Valley in 2008 and attended the University of Arizona and Pima Community College.Maureen volunteered with the Humane Society, Friends of the Oro Valley Library and the National Alliance on Mental Illness.As a teen, Maureen began to suffer from severe depression/mental illness which stayed with her for the rest of her life. Maureen's life ended on September 1, 2018. She is survived by her parents, Kevin and Betty Corr and her sister Kimberly Corr Schulz.A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 11:00 am at Vistoso Funeral Home, Oro Valley.
