We know she is in a better place and will experience everlasting joy. She passed away from complications involved with an infectious disease on January 5, 2022 in Tucson, AZ.\n\nNancy was born to Marion and Margery (Moore) Tish on December 19, 1949, in Fairmont, MN, the second of seven children. Nancy lived with her family in the towns of Buffalo Center, IA, Dolliver, IA, Superior IA and Welcome, MN. She attended high school in Spirit Lake, IA. She moved with her family to the farm north of Welcome, MN in 1966 where she graduated from Welcome High School with the Class of 1968. She attended the University of Minnesota in Crookston graduating with a degree in home economics. She spent most of her career working for General Mills in the Betty Crocker Test Kitchens in Minneapolis, MN. She also worked in the Robbinsdale School District as an Education Assistant. \n\nNancy was passionate about food preparation and travel. Her love for outdoor adventures and new experiences took her around the world visiting many countries while doing mission work. Her summers were filled with hiking, biking, and church activities both in Arizona and in Minnesota, primarily in the greater Minneapolis area. During the cold Minnesota winters she loved cross-country skiing or anything that would take her outdoors.\n\nShe was thrilled to meet the love of her life, Wayne Leyh, and they married August 30, 1997 in Minneapolis. Led by the Spirit of God, the two of them dedicated their lives to serving Christ. For the past several years they volunteered their services at the Wycliffe Bible Translators headquarters near their winter home in Tucson. \n\nNancy is survived by her husband, Wayne Leyh, brothers Dan (Sandie) Tish of Mankato, MN, Mickey (Laurie) Tish of Bellevue, WA, Tracy (Tammy) Tish of Denver, CO, Todd (Becky) Tish of Sherburn, MN, sisters Peggy (Charles) Beitlich of New Ulm, MN, Barbara (Charles) Poppe of Welcome, MN, sister-in-law Judy Mikolich of Osseo, MN, along with many friends and relatives.\n\nNancy was preceded in death by her parents Marion and Margery Tish, niece Chantal Schultz, father-in-law Wilbert Leyh, brother-in-law Charles Mikolich, and other friends and relatives.\n\nServices are pending in Tucson, AZ with another being planned for in Minneapolis, MN at a later date.
