Norma R. Martin, 75, died March 20, 2010 in Tucson, Arizona. Norma was born April 14, 1934 to Norman W. and Lorine Loyd Remley in Jefferson City, Missouri. Her family moved to various cities during the World War II years. She attended high school and two years at the University of Missouri in Columbia and considered Columbia home. Norma married Jack Edward Martin on April 21, 1955 and for 15 months they lived in Hoppstdten-Nahe, Germany. They returned to Columbia, MO and later lived in Gainesville, FL and Webster Groves, MO before moving to Sterling, CO in 1969. Norma was a member of Sterling's First Christian Church, where she served as Deacon and at various board and committee positions throughout the years. Norma was also a member of the Oro Valley United Church of Christ, Tucson, AZ. Norma is survived by her husband, Jack, of Tucson, AZ; sons Keith E. and Brenda J. Martin, of Apple Valley, CA, Grant A. Martin, of Sterling, CO and Paul N. Martin, of Austin, TX. Also surviving are grandchildren Brooke A. Martin, Los Angeles, CA, Erin A. Martin, Portland, OR and Matthew A. Martin, Sterling, CO; and sister Laura Remley, of Columbia, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Ellen Barker and her nephew Brian L. Barker. A memorial service will be held at Oro Valley United Church at a later date, with the Reverend James Briney officiating. The family requests no flowers.
