Patti A. Rieves Obituary (1946 - 2020)

Born June 22, 1946 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Jessie Vivian and Arthur A. Hopkins. Patti died February 11, 2020 in sun City, Oro Valley, Arizona. She is survived by her Husband Mike; Mother of Clark (Katy) and Brian: grandmother of Emma and Lucy; sister to Vicki Vang and sister-in-law of Jan Hill; cousin to Sheila Inman and Aunt to Elisabeth Holman and her children Sam and Josh, and Garrett Allen and his children Thomas,Felix, and Issac. Patti attended grade school in Midwest City and high school in Oklahoma City and the attended college at Lindwood in Missouri and Oklahoma University, where she me t and married Mike while in Law School. After graduation Patti followed him on a two year Army tour beginning at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas, where Clark was born, and ending at Frankford Arsenal in Philadelphia. The family spent four great years in Lebanon, Missouri, where Brian was born, before moving back to Oklahoma City. Her vocations including banking, real estate sales, and business records storage. Cooking, traveling, reading, and gardening were among her great pleasures, but to her family and friends her first attribute was generosity of spirit sincerity and love of family and life, which she lived to the fullest.
