Randy was born and raised in Indianapolis, IN. He was heavily involved in youth football as a player and later as a coach. He attended John Marshall High School where he continued his love of football. He also met and eventually married his high school sweetheart Lynne (Riley) Gossett (they celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary this past June). He worked as a bread salesman at Klosterman's Bakery to support a growing family with Lynne, son Randy Jr. and daughter Jacki. Seeking a warmer climate, he relocated his family to Tucson, AZ in 1991. He worked at Oasis Bottled Water Company as a route salesman. Randy never met a stranger; he talked with everyone. His outgoing personality and ability to talk to everyone eventually led him down a new career path and he obtained his Real Estate license in 1994. He worked for Tucson Realty & Trust and Long Realty, where he won awards for his sales. He continued his love of coaching local youth when his son Randy Jr. took an interest in Little League Baseball. Even after his son was out of Little League, he continued to volunteer his time as a Little League Baseball Umpire. He was also an avid golfer with an 8-handicap. Randy always put his family above everything. The loving husband and father of two always had a smile to share and his incredible sense of humor made everyone around him enjoy life a little bit more; his heart was as large as his smile. His flexible schedule allowed him to provide for his family in ways most men could only dream. He took full advantage of every moment to make each day with his family as special as he could. It also allowed him to pursue his love of golf, scotch, cigars, Vegas and basically all things masculine. Randy was a man's man who was just as comfortable playing hopscotch with children as he was smoking a cigar with a fine scotch. He pursued life as it should be pursued and this husband, father, son, brother and friend left this world a better place simply because he was in it. He will be greatly missed.
