On Tuesday, June 4, 2019, Ray Hunt lost his long standing battle with cancer, at the age of 75. Ray was born on February 7, 1944 in Weaverville, CA and grew up mostly in Tulsa, OK. In his youth, Ray was a decorated diver and gymnast. He attended Oklahoma State University on an athletic scholarship. Later in life, he worked in dental sales as a sales representative for over 40 years, covering most of the Western United States and logging lots of miles On December 16, 1967 he married Eileen Louise Fitzpatrick in Santa Barbara, CA. They were married 51 years and raised one daughter, Kelli and had two cherished granddaughters.\n\nRay enjoyed travel, often piloting himself and friends and family in private planes all across Northern America. Many of these excursions were fishing trips-although he would bring steaks for his dinner! Ray also loved to visit historical landmarks. Ray enjoyed life long learning, and followed politics and the stock market avidly. Ray was known for his sharp wit and generous nature, and made many life long friends over the years. \n\nRay was preceded in death by his mother and father, Margie and Elvert Francis Hunt. He is survived by his wife, Eileen, daughter Kelli and granddaughters, Lily and Claire, brother Ron, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.\n\nHe will be interred at the Arizona Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Marana, AZ. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.\n\nIn lieu of flowers, donations can be made to in his memory to The American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
