Ray O. Morris, 79, son of Joseph Orville Morris and Coelene Thelma Morris, died Thursday the 6th of June at Banner University Hospital in Tucson, AZ. Born in Tulsa Oklahoma, Ray was the fourth of four children. Ray and his family moved to Boulder, Colorado in 1971 and began his career as an Insurance Agent with Allstate. Ray worked for Allstate until he retired in 1998. Ray moved to SaddleBrooke in Tucson, with his wife Shirley to enjoy retirement. An avid golf enthusiast, he spent much of his retirement on the golf course. He also enjoyed square dancing, biking, traveling domestically and internationally, camping, spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grand-children.\n\nHe will always be remembered for his charisma, integrity, presence, sense of humor and love for his family. He is preceded in death by his mother and father and his three siblings: Joe Morris Gene Morris and Rose Morris. He is survived by his three children: Coelene O'Kane (Sean), Kristy Humphrey (Matt) and Erika Lousberg (Rod). He also has two stepsons: Bradd Fanberg and Kevin Fanberg (Amy). He is survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.\n\nThere will be no formal memorial services. A celebration of life service to be announced. Ray has requested that a donation in Ray's name may be made to the Salvation Army, his favorite charity.\n\nThe Morris family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Banner Cancer Center and Banner University Hospital for their exceptional care of Ray in his final days.
