Richard Henry Hertle (1934-2008) Richard H Hertle, (Dick) 73, of Tucson, Arizona, passed peacefully after a short illness on Wednesday September 3, 2008, surrounded by family and friends. He was born September 28, 1934 in New York City, the son of German immigrants Elizabeth and William Hertle. He survived his only, older brother Bill by over 20 years. With his first wife, Ann, he had four children and was then blessed to find and marry Sharon Hertle on October 25, 1980. He served from 1953 to 1957 in the U.S. Navy as a radio engineer honorably discharged with the rank of corporal. He started his lifelong work in the business and tech industry with the Burroughs Corporation as a Field Engineer and, after 27 year he assumed a leadership position at headquarters in Detroit MI. In 1984 his energy and independent spirit drove him to California where he and his partner, Jim Clements, established the very successful React Corporation. He retired from business but not from life in 1999 when he and Sharon relocated to Tucson Arizona. During this time his energy, skills at organization and leadership, as well as his constant willingness to give of himself endeared him to his community at the Rancho Vistoso Golf Club. His wife Sharon, 4 children, and 11 grand children survive him. These include; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Bill King of Cave Creek, AZ.; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Richard and Gloriann Hertle of Pittsburgh, PA; son, Steven Hertle of Toledo, OH; son and daughter-in-law, James and Debbi Hertle of Scottsdale, AZ.; grandchildren, Brandon and Matthew King of Cave Creek AZ, Jamie and Marisol Difrancesco of Scottsdale AZ; and Michael and Jessica Lavetsky of Tampa Fl, Lee, Alex, Casey and Sara Hertle of Toledo OH, Sydnee, Samantha and Marek Hertle of Scottsdale AZ.
