Richard Kenneth Mailen

Richard "Ricky" Kenneth Mailen, 71, passed away unexpectedly on August 25, 2019 in Tucson, Arizona. Ricky loved his hamburgers, cheeseburgers and Happy meals. He loved Spiderman, Paw Patrol and playing with his dogs Henry and Little Bit and his cat George. He enjoyed shopping and car rides. He assisted his mother with her janitorial business in Phoenix for many years prior to her retirement. He was born in Topeka, Kansas May 19, 1948 to Kenneth and Doris (Wilson) Mailen. He lived for many years with his grandparents Claude and Gladys Mailen in Perry, KS and later in Topeka, KS prior to moving to Phoenix, AZ with his mother. After his mother passed away he lived with his brother Eddie and family in Tucson. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his brothers Edward (Sherrie) Mailen, Tucson, AZ, Corey Mailen, Roseville, CA, and sisters Linda Meyer, Topeka, KS, and Sonya (Mike) Howell, Phoenix, AZ, Denise Miller, Roseville, CA step sister and Monte Miller, Cullman AL step brother. He is also survived by four nephews, Ken Mailen, Tucson, AZ, Brad and Dion Mailen, Topeka, KS and Brian Meyer, Dayton, OH, caregiver Jacqui Gerschefske, Tucson, AZ and of course his pets Henry, Little Bit and George. Graveside services will be held mid September at Memorial Park Cemetery, Topeka, KS.
