Rita M. Creech-Underwood Obituary (1938

Rita M. Creech-Underwood, 73 years old, passed away March 25, 2011. Born January 23, 1938 in Candler County, GA. Rita attended Statesboro High SChool and grduated in 1956. She moved to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina in 1972 where she worked as a barber stylist. In 1989 she opened Rita's Barber Stylist which is still in business. Rita moved to Arizona in 2009 to enjoy the beautiful desert climate. Rita was a loving mother and a hard worker. She was survived by her daughters Donna Hardin and Marla (Mark) Donison; grandchildren Katie (Dustin) Williams, Richmond Hardin, and Wesley, Sarah and Jared Donison; great-grandchildren Christopher and Luke Pridgen, and Chance Williams; three sisters Laurine Mikell, Hilda Cannady, and Mickey (Bobby) Davis; and her brother-in-law Louis Anderson. Rita was preceded in death by her parents Edna and Mikie Creech and her 2 sisters Sybil Brown Bragg and Mary Edna Anderson. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the First Baptist Church of Statesboro, 108 N. Main St., Statesboro, GA. In lieu of flowers donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
