Robert "Bob" M. Gabric, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017 in Tucson, Arizona after a hard fought battle with leukemia. He was born in 1934 to John and Zorka (Gazdic) Gabric in Chicago, Illinois. On August 9, 1958 he married Patricia "Pat" Frawley in Worth, Illinois. Bob is best known for inspiring students and athletes during his tenure at Gross School in Brookfield, IL from 1959 through 1964 and at St. Ignatius College Prep in Chicago from 1964 through 1978. Bob and Pat retired to Tucson, Arizona in 1997 where Bob continued to enjoy athletics participating with local golf clubs, Senior Olympics, and pick up basketball games, among others. Bob was an active resident of Saddlebrooke Arizona where he started several senior clubs and activities. \n\nSurvivors include his wife Pat; his 2 sons, Michael Gabric of Darien, Illinois (wife Kathleen) and Matthew Gabric of Chilton Wisconsin; his daughter Patricia Nykodym (husband Joseph) of Moraga, California; 4 grandchildren Kaitlyn, Jessica, Marco and Robert; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.\n\nHe was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Ralph Gabric and John Gabric.\n\nA funeral mass will be held both on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Santa Catalina Catholic Church in Oro Valley, Arizona and on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 10:00AM at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in Hinsdale, Illinois.
