ROBERT PATRICK MOON was born in New York City September 11, 1929 and passed from this life February 14, 2010 while in Hospice care in Tucson. He lived in New York until he was 20 years old and moved to Michigan to attend Michigan State University. He met and married Marian Burns and had one daughter, Deann. He moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1996 for his wife Marian's health. A few years after Marian's death, Robert met Wanda Geyer in Tucson where they married and lived in the winters,but spent summers in Michigan. They loved both places. He is survived by his wife Wanda, daughter, Deann Moon Hoeft, four grandchildren: Matthew, Elizabeth, Samantha and Andrew. He is also survived by a great-grandson, Jackson. At a very young age Robert joined the Army Air Corp during WWII as an airplane radio operator. After completing his enlistment contract, Robert moved to Michigan where he served 24 years at the Lansing, Michigan Fire Department. After retiring from the Fire Dept., he became a licensed electrician and continued his working career with General Tire Company while simultaneously maintaining a family farm in Ionia, Michigan. Robert was a creative man, made up of many strengths. He was an artist at heart. He loved sketching and painting or just sketching on a card to give to a family member. He loved working with wood and built many things that will last long into the future. He loved everything in or around the water, including scuba diving, laps in the pool, walks on the beach or swimming in Lake Michigan. Robert Moon was an easy going, fun loving, family man, as well as a great philosopher! He was loved by many and will be missed greatly.
