On Thursday, August 25, 2022, Robert (Bob) Lee Stanley, beloved partner, father, andgrandfather, passed away in Oro Valley, AZ. He was eighty-one years old, just 3.5 hours shy ofhis 82nd birthday. A southern California native born to Robert Wilson Stanley and SylviaMartha (Hoke) Stanley in Long Beach, California. Bob graduated from Jordan High School inLong Beach, CA and from California State University Fullerton with a Bachelor of BusinessAdministration (B.B.A.) with emphasis in Finance and Financial Management Services. Bobwas also an Army Veteran. He spent many years working in the Equipment Financing andLeasing Industry working for companies like, Metropole Leasing, Bank of Boston, WestoverFinancial and owning his own company, Channel Funding. Bob had a love of travel and visited every continent. Some of his favorite trips were an AfricanSafari, a culinary tour in Vietnam and Thailand, watching the America's Cup in Australia andmost recently a trip to the Holy Lands. Bob loved the ocean, sailing and scuba diving and tookseveral trips to explore South America. He was an avid supporter of South Coast RepertoryTheatre, Costa Mesa, CA and enjoyed many seasons as an opening night supporter andvolunteer. Bob also supported the Boys Republic in Pasadena and enjoyed his yearly handout ofDella Robbia wreaths to family members and clients. He had a love for golf which he passed onto his children and grandchildren. He spent many years volunteering for the Toshiba Classicwhich is now the Hoag Classic where he ran the Leader Boards and eventually oversaw the crewfor the Golf Channel. Bob always enjoyed working out and even took up yoga and Thai Chi.Bob loved and adored his family attending as many grandchildren events as possible. He issurvived by his beloved partner Joanne Oliver, daughter Laura Burnes and her husband Thomas,their two children Brayden and Tiki and his son Michael Stanley, his wife Carole and their twochildren Sienna and Donavan. Bob will have two Celebration of Life events, one in Oracle, AZon 10/8 and another on 11/26 in Newport Beach, CA.\n\nThere are no gallery images.
