Rosalina (Rose) Yungaray Chavez
September 27, 1933 - July 27, 2024.
She was a great servant of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Rose loved her family beyond words. Many were blessed by Rose’s, love, compassion, kindness and wisdom.
Born in Bisbee, AZ, she married the love of her life Santiago (Tabby) Chavez in 1952. They started their life together in Tiger, AZ and moved to San Manuel shortly after. In 1961 they moved to Oracle where they lived and raised their family, and helped raise their many grandchildren. Their home was always full of laughter and adventure as they welcomed their grandchildren after school each day.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband Tabby, son David, grandson’s David, and Michael, brothers Ed and Albert, sisters Anna Yungaray, and Belinda Ruiz, and parents. Survived by her sister Freida Martinez, sons Jimmy (Bonnie), Ruben (Wren), Danny (Julia). Daughters Maria (Mary) Dykes(Dwane), Martha Brandt (Kevin), Alina Chavez(Dave), Lisa Chavez (Josh), 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson.
Rose will always be remembered by her love, opened door, and 24 hour kitchen. Love You More! ♥️
Services for Rose will be on Saturday, August 24, at St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Oracle. Rosary is at 10:00 a.m., mass at 10:30, followed by lunch.
