Sandra Jean Kneissel passed away in her sleep, being held in her husband's hand, during the early morning hours on January 22, 2022, in Oro Valley, Arizona after an eight-year struggle with Parkinson's Disease and associated complications. Known to her family and friends as Sandy, she was born February 6, 1946, to Alvin O. and Mildred E (Schwartz) Krueger in St. Paul, Minnesota. Growing up on the north side in St. Paul, Sandy attended Washington High School maintaining friendships and attending Class of 1964 reunions. Sandy met her lifelong friend and husband, John Kneissel, during her high school years and they were married on September 15, 1977. Sandy worked in elderly care while earning her degree as a Registered Nurse at the University of Minnesota. Sandy's greatest care was for her surviving family: Her husband John; Daughters Kara and Kerry (George); her three Grandchildren Geo, Gaby and Jade; her sister Judi and many nieces. nephews and cousins. Sandy focused her career as a pediatric nurse, caring for infants and children in Minnesota and later in Florida. Sandy loved to travel. She planned and traveled with her family on vacations in the United States, Canada and Europe. Sandy has now moved on to her next life, watching and planning for her reunion with all she loved and who miss her so much now. At Sandy's request, please remember her in your tradition and faith, and memorials be only your memory of her in your heart.
