Sanvus Yuen -- April 16, 1934-September 24, 2011, Resident of Tucson, Arizona. After a courageous decades' long battle with multiple terminal illnesses, Sanvus Yuen went home to be with the Lord at Oro Valley Hospital in Tucson, Arizona. Sanvus was born in Courtland, California and raised in Nevada City. He eventually went on to graduate from the University of California at Berkeley with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and obtained his Seminary degree in 1962 from Faith Theological Seminary in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. He was ordained for Christian ministry in 1966 and commissioned as a chaplain for Transport for Christ International in 1997. He was a missionary with the Chinese Bible Evangel Ministry in the 1960's and later Pastor of Outreach with Willow Rancho Baptist Church in Sacramento, California in the 1970's. He also worked as a Mechanical Engineer for General Mills, Inc. A work transfer moved him to Toledo, Ohio until he retired in 1997. He was one of twelve children born to the late Chuckson Tang and BoHon Yuen and was the beloved husband of Lucille Yuen for 46 years. Sanvus will forever be remembered by his devoted brother, Peter, loving sisters Ella Leong, Bernadine Wong, Bertha Wen, Armonita Yuen, and Chalice Fong, beloved children Ruth Bliss-Kramer, and Paul Yuen, treasured grandchildren Matthew Bliss, and Marshall and Ivory Kramer, caring in-laws Warren Kramer and Natalie Yuen, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. Sanvus loved studying the Word of God, spending time in prayer, and leading people to Christ. He was also an avid train hobbyist and enjoyed working on small engines. He loved being with his family and enjoyed the fellowship of his friends. Sanvus touched the lives of many people with his kindness, humility and generosity, and maintained a positive outlook and his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday, September 29 at 7 pm at Vistoso Funeral Home, 2285 East Rancho Vistoso Blvd, Oro Valley, AZ, 85755. An additional service will be held for Ohio and Michigan family and friends on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 11 am at Christian Fellowship Church, 6711 Pilliod Rd, Holland, OH 43528.
