On January 16, 2023, at the age of 88, Stuart Murray Grant Jr. passed away surrounded by his family in Oracle, AZ.\n\nThe son of Stuart Murray Grant Sr. and Violet (Johnston) Grant, he was born November 27, 1934 in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. He was the twin brother to Shirley Laney and half-brother to Marion (Gillies) Hedrick and Dave Gillies.\n\nHe is preceded in death by his parents Stuart and Violet. And his siblings Shirley, Marion and Dave.\n\nHe is survived by his wife Marcia, daughter Susan Grant Krulikowski (Dan) and stepsons Michael and Owen.\n\nStuart grew up in Kent Washington and attended Washington State University. After graduating, he served in the Army as an officer.\n\nAfter the Army, he began working for Household Finance Company where he spent his career of 42 years as a manager and supervisor. He lived in several places including Las Vegas and Honolulu, Hawaii.\n\nIt was in Honolulu, Hawaii where he met and wed his beloved wife of 53 years Marcia (Moeller) Grant. They had daughter Susan in Honolulu and later moved for career opportunities to Los Angeles, California. They lived in Hacienda Heights and San Dimas, California and later moved to retirement community Saddlebrooke Ranch located North of Tucson.\n\nHe enjoyed 11 years in Saddlebrooke Ranch making many friends and spending time playing cards and soaking up sun and beauty of Tucson.\n\nThroughout his life, he had an adventurous curiosity about the world and loved to travel going as far as Asia and Europe. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family and many wonderful summers at the family cabin and lakehouse in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He was a great conversationalist and had a wonderful sense of humor. He is truly missed and will be in our hearts forever.
