Stuart Pekarsky Obituary (1938

Stuart M. Pekarsky passed away July 25, 2018 after a long battle with Parkinson 's disease. Stuart was born in Syracuse, NY on January 1, 1938. After graduating from Syracuse Central High School, he joined the Airforce, where he was a Corporal during the Korean War. Stuart held several upper level management jobs in the construction and farm machinery industry and was highly regarded for his business acumen. His work took Stuart and his family to Georgia, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Tennessee and Arizona, where he eventually retired. Stuart was a world traveler, having traveled to China, Russia, Australia, New Zealand and most European counties. His most memorable trips were to the pyramids of Giza and Tahiti. He will be remembered for bringing his family together from all over the USA on several cruises and trips. In his free time, he loved woodworking, doing minor repairs around the house, working on his computer and landscaping. He was an avid hiker and enjoyed many athletic endeavors. He was as comfortable in shorts and sneakers as he was in a tux. Stuart had a wonderful sense of humor. He was always supportive and protective of his family, neighbors and friends and willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He was predeceased by his sister, Sonya Flaum. He is survived by his son, Paul Parker, daughter, Jill Pekarsky, grandson Matthew Parker, Sisters, Marilyn Gavenda, Lois Rabinowitz, Renee Rothschild and several nieces and nephews, to include Beth Gavenda, Pamela Gavenda and James Rothschild. He was laid to rest in Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery at Marana.`
