Victor Manuel Garcia, Jr., 78 years old, passed away June 13, 2015. Victor was born on February 9, 1937 in Huntington Park, CA. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Joyce, his brother Dimas, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Victor was preceded in death by his parents Isabelle and Victor, Sr. and his brother Matias Garcia. Victor worked with the L.A. Sheriff's Department and absolutely loved his job. He made many life long friends during his time at the department. He retired from the department in April of 1992. In 1996 he and Joyce moved to Arizona. Victor had a passion for golf and softball and in 1997 he started the Senior Softball League in SaddleBrooke. He was the commissioner of the league from 2004-2008. Victor was a charter member and helped to organize and start the Catalina Mountain Elk's Lodge #2815 and held the position of Exalted Ruler for the year 2001-2002. He won the SaddleBrooke Road Runner Member/Guest Tournament in 2004 and he also participated in the World Police/Fire Olympics from 1989 through 2001 winning a Gold Medal in 2001. Victor was an honest man, a devoted husband, and a loyal friend. He will be missed by all!
