Violet Gagnon Terrana of Oro Valley, Arizona, died January 10, 2011 after a brief illness. Born in Waterville, Maine on June 20, 1926 (Estelle Viola Begin) where she attended School. She married Rudulph A. Gagnon in July of 1946 and they lived in Littleton, NH and Lewiston, ME before settling in South Portland, ME where she lived for over 25 years. She was active in the Cheverus High School Mothers Club, Holy Cross Church and Sodality and volunteered at Mercy Hospital. After moving to St. Petersburg, FL in the mid 1980's she met and married Richard H. Terrana, also of St. Petersburg and Corsica, PA. She served as activities director at the Conner's Mobile Park and volunteered at St. Anthony's Hospital and St. Jude the Apostle Church. Violet was preceded in death by her first husband Rudolph in 1982 and her second husband Richard in 2007. She was the last surviving of the nine children of Octave and Rosanna Brochu Begin. She is survived by her sons Michael and his wife Bridget (Kathy) of Oro Valley, AZ and David and his wife Colette, of Smithfield, RI; her grandchildren Paul of San Francisco, CA, Katherine of Locust Grove, VA, Nicholas, Douglas, and Lauren all of Smithfield, RI; sister-in-law Mrs. Marie Gagnon of Winslow, ME; and several nieces and nephews from all around the country.
