She is survived by her loving husband William Powell, Son William C. Powell and Daughter Diane S. Rei. Preceded by her parents Viva Blenda and James Ayers. Ruth was active in the charity Emerge! Center against domestic abuse. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 18 at 2:00pm at Vista de la Montana United Methodist Church, 3001 E. Miravista Lane, Tucson AZ 85739. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Ruth's name to Emerge!, or the Ronald McDonald House.
